vintage art deco wooden plant stand

Vintage wooden plant stand that previously belonged to my grandparents. Art deco style. Unsure of the year or place of origin however the bottom of the stand is marked with text "Mirrool; Cat. No.: 802; App. No.: 2616". Presumably the item was made in Mirrool.Unsure of the timber variety possibly Maple but it a nice quality piece that should go to someone who wants to give it a new life. Note that there are a few deliberate holes in the upper surface presumably to have once secured a pot fascia or other item to the top. There is also a rough hole in the centre of the top as shown in the pictures. This could be easily covered with a new fascia or filled. The remainder of the item is in excellent quality and the finish is glossy with very few marks. That being said the new owner may wish to revarnish it to bring out its best character.Top platen is 350mm across and the piece stands 770mm high. Please let me know if you have any questions. Text or email preferred.More
